LOCATION
Chardstock is a tranquil rural village in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Devon/Dorset/Somerset borders, about 10 miles from the Lyme Bay Jurassic Coast with easy access to Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer, Branscombe and Sidmouth. Chard and Axminster are both about 5 miles distant & offer a range of shops, supermarkets, banks and other facilities.
The area offers many attractions such as Cricket St.Thomas, Forde Abbey, the narrow gauge Seaton Tramway from which to explore the Axe estuary, Honiton with its antique shops and markets - or just relax in this charming village.
A short walk away is The George Inn offering excellent meals, and a well-stocked Post Office/Stores for everyday provisions. Cream Teas and light daytime meals are available 2 miles away at Fordwater. LITTLE TYTHCOTE is approached over a gravelled Courtyard with sitting area and parking for 1/2 Cars. It is reputed to have originally been an old cider house and has exposed beams and period features, but has been recently renovated to a high standard and newly equipped to offer the following cosy centrally heated accommodation:
